Strenthening the Local Congregation

Changed by Love, Sent in Love, to Serve – Shaping the Church for God’s Mission is also intended to support your congregation.  Some of the benefits to your congregation include:

Congregational Stewardship Resources

“Share, Save, Spend” is intended to help shape your congregation’s financial culture.  “The choices we make with our money can change the world” states Nathan Dungan, founder and president of Share, Save, Spend, LLC.

Nathan Dungan and Dr. Diane Jacobson of Luther Seminary presented a workshop on  April  24-25 of 2010 called “Toward Financial Sanity.”  The two dealt with such things as:

  • Developing an understanding of key steps for building healthy financial habits
  • Underscoring the link between money, habits and values
  • Laying a framework for planning for long-term financial success
  • Dwelling in key passages of Scripture related to financial sanity

Nathan and Diane also were presenters at our Synod Assembly in  June 2010.   The 2010 Bishop’s Convocation featured Mark Allen Powell, author of “Giving to God.”
