At the 2010 Synod Assembly Bishop Mansholt introduced the first comprehensive fund appeal ever conducted in the Central States Synod. Over the next three years you will be hearing more about how you might participate. The appeal gives you an opportunity to enhance mission and ministry “in your own backyard” and around the globe.
Bishop Mansholt states, “God in his mercy has given us an opportunity to be shaped anew. Because of the treasure of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I boldly call upon the people of the Central States Synod to be part of this first comprehensive mission fund development program with a goal of $7.9 million. Changed by Love, Sent in Love, to Serve — Shaping the Church for God’s Mission will help us to live out more faithfully and fully the missional directions to which we have been called.”
