Parish Ministry Associate Program Convocation
Crowne Plaza Hotel — 12601 W. 95th St. — Lenexa, Kansas
The Convo is a time of spiritual renewal; this year’s theme is Claiming God’s/My Story. The facilitator will be Sonja Sandquist, a Pastoral Leader, Spiritual Director, and Professional Christian Life Coach who has numerous experiences in both large groups and in one-on-one situations to empower people to thrive in both their internal and external lives. Her interests include one-on-one companioning with those interested in prayer and spiritual life; coaching busy people who seek a sense of balance and authenticity in all areas of life; and program development born out of clear purpose and values clarification.
PMAs and PMAP students are expected to attend the Convo.
NEW! This year we invite potential PMAP students, PMAT pastors, supervising pastors, and pastors with PMAs in their congregations to attend the Convo.
NEW! Spouses (or others traveling with attendees) are welcome to stay at the hotel and join the Convo for the Eucharist and Friday dinner.
The special group hotel room rate will be made available three days pre (April 24-26, 2012) and three days post (April 28-30, 2012) based upon hotel availability. (In order to secure this special rate, you must make reservations for these additional days via our registration form and not directly through the hotel.)

The PMA Convocation is held each year to provide an opportunity for Parish Ministry Associates to gather, to learn, and to pray. By coming together PMAs experience the breadth and diversity of this program, and they can appreciate more deeply the significance of these forms of ministry for the future of the church. Those who are certified will receive 6 lifelong learning credits and those who are “in training” will receive 1/3 of the Convocation credit required for certification.
