Regional Organizer — Kansas Christians United Dinner Dialogue Project
We have an opening for six Regional Organizers to facilitate the Dinner Dialogue program. Position runs from June to December and is stipended $1000. Regional Organizers will develop leadership skills and deepen faith in an intergenerational context. Director of Youth & Family Ministry – Peace Lutheran Church, Manhattan, KS.
We are seeking a full-time Director of Youth & Family Ministries for our congregation of 475. This person will work with our current staff of 7 volunteer Youth Ministers as well as help to develop a volunteer “staff” of Family Ministers. This person will be responsible for facilitating religious education opportunities for children, young adults, families in collaboration with the Christian Education Committee and the Pastor. The DYFM will encourage the development of the youth program in collaboration with the Youth Ministry Team, Youth Advisory Board, and the Pastor, in a way that engages youth in spiritual discovery, connecting to each other, and contributing to the community of Peace, Manhattan, and the world. This person will also help us find ways to integrate faith, pray, and study within families.

Worship Leader for Contemporary Worship Services — Bloomington, Ill.
A thriving church in central Illinois, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bloomington, has an opening for a full-time staff position. The Worship Leader is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing all aspects of three contemporary worship services. This includes working with a large number of congregational members who serve as vocalists, instrumentalists, and lay worship leaders. The Worship Leader is expected to actively lead worship from a musical and praise perspective.
St. John’s, an ELCA congregation of 2,500 members with an average worship attendance of 720 per weekend, serves a community (population 125,000) of above average income with stable large businesses and universities. Ministries are experiencing growth under the leadership of two new pastors and financial giving is strong. A building expansion was recently completed and future construction is anticipated to accommodate the growing congregation. The ministries are well served by successful ministry teams and staff of 39 (14 full-time, 25 part-time)
